Hello everyone. I hope you had a good New Year’s Day and are ready to enjoy 2024.

One of the things I want to do this year is to use this blog more effectively to share information with you. I know a lot of my readers don’t go on social media and their parents haven’t subscribed to my newsletter; therefore, I wanted to create a space where you can get information about what is happening if you don’t have access to social media or email. I will also post updates from time to time on my YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtaEYhm6RUodXAqC7yyHeJw, but this blog will usually provide more detailed information and will also be easier to skim quickly rather than having to listen to a 4-5-minute YouTube video. (I will also link directly to new blog posts from my Goodreads profile.)

Glitch Guardians Books

My current plans for 2024 are to release Glitch Guardians 8 – Valkyrie on January 12. The book is on preorder and the release date has been set. Be sure to mark your calendars. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CHBKBSLG

The next book I will publish is Glitch Guardians 9 – Boneyard. I’m hoping to publish it in the middle of February. My goal is to get it out thirty days or less after publishing GG9. Boneyard is also on preorder, but with a date listing it as publishing on May 1. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CRQLJB9T  This is just to give me a cushion in case something comes up and I can’t finish the book by my goal date.

Noble Dark One

After that, I’m going to take a break from the Glitch Guardians series for a little while to write and publish the first book in the Noble Dark One backstory. (Preorder: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CL9QWNMG.) I’ve had a lot of requests for this backstory from fans of the Surfer Villager series, so I hope you will enjoy it. I’m not sure how long the backstory series will be, but there are certain events in the NDO’s life that I want to cover, as well as how he got involved with the SV universe in the first place. I think at a minimum this backstory would be at least three books long, but it could go much longer. I’ll make that decision later.

These plans bring me through about the end of March of this year. I have some more general plans for the rest of the year, but nothing concrete yet other than to continue the NDO backstory for at least a few more books and to write GG10, which I have the basic idea for already.

Other Books

I do have an idea to write a sequel to the SV series which would involve some of the characters from the original series, including Jimmy, Emma, the Ender King, and Princess Tina, but it would have different main characters. If you have any thoughts about that or would like to see such a series, please leave a comment below or send me an email about that.

I’m also likely to continue the Peter and the Player’s Palace series with Season Two. We left off with some unresolved issues about how Peter was going to enjoy his good fortune. (I didn’t want to be more specific than that because I don’t want people who haven’t read the series to I get a spoiler.) If you haven’t read the PPP series yet, check out Book 1 here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BX7DFPR1.

If there are any books about any characters in my current series that you’d like me to write, let me know. In addition to the NDO, I have had requests for the backstory of the Ender King in the SV series. I am considering writing a short backstory series for him as well, but first, I’m going to do the NDO backstory.

I’d Love to Hear Your Thoughts

As always, I look forward to hearing from you. You can leave a comment below, send me an email, or react directly to any of my books by leaving a written review of the book on Amazon or Goodreads. A few years ago, it seemed like almost everyone was leaving really interesting and extensive written reviews on Amazon. I know Amazon changed how it allows people use a Kindle to leave reviews, so it makes it much more difficult to leave a written review unless you are using the Kindle app or are logged into your account on a web browser. I’ve actually spoken with a couple of my fellow Minecraft authors who are also sad that there aren’t as many written reviews as there used to be because we really enjoyed reading them. It told us what you liked in our books and what you didn’t, which helped us craft future stories that would be more enjoyable. So, if you can leave a review with your opinion on any of my books, I would really appreciate it.

That’s all for now. Have a great January. I will do my best to provide at least monthly updates on this blog if not more frequent updates.

Sincerely,

Dr. Block.
